Leafy Greens

I read that the USDA recommends 3 cups of leafy greens per week. Really? That seems very little. Yet, many still don't consume that much. It's no wonder diseases are on the rise.

We need to consume dark leafy greens for they are good sources of vitamins and fiber. The nutrients found in these vegetables may prevent certain type of cancers and promote heart health.

What exactly are the nutrients found in these leafy greens?
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin K
  • Potassium
  • Magnesium
  • Antioxidants
  • Iron
  • Calcium
  • Folate
  • B vitamins
Overall, they help boost our immune system. I'm definitely going to work harder to up my green intake!
